This is season of unending lawlessness in Nigeria. Or how else can one describe a situation in which everyone appears to have virtually lost his or her sense of reasoning and feels to be above the laws of the land? Many, irrespective of political, religious or ethnic affiliations, are flagrantly disobeying rules and regulations meant to guide the actions of the rich and the poor, in order to ensure peace, unity and stability in a sane and civilised society.

That is the reason for the drama on floor of the senate on Thursday 20^th February 2025, as Senator Natasha Akpoti looked Senate President Godswill Akpabio in the eyes and said: ‘I am not afraid of you’, irrespective of what the Senate Rules say.
