DEPUTY GOVERNOR ON HUNGER STRIKE

The Deputy Governor of a North Central State is on hunger strike in view of what family members described as emotional and mental abuse by his principal, the Governor. The Deputy Governor accused the Governor of sidetracking him. He accused the Governor of abuse of discretionary powers, delegating most government functions to the Chief of Staff instead of the Deputy Governor. He equally accused the Governor of threatening to sack him, in fact impeaching him. The hunger strike is the Deputy Governor’s way of sensitizing Nigerians about his predicament.
